FILL YOUR BUCKET LIST FOUNDATION TO HOLD COOK-OFF AT ANNUAL GALA
MORRISVILLE, N.C. – Fill Your Bucket List Foundation is featuring a cook-off between premier local chefs at their upcoming fundraiser, the Bucket Bash. Four chefs will compete to create their best appetizer using one common ingredient and attendees will vote to determine the winner. Participants include Mitch Samples, chef instructor and purchasing manager at The Chef’s Academy; Eddie Wilson, executive chef at NC State’s Tally Student Union; Eric Gephart, chief culinary officer at Kamado Grille; and Ron Salerno, food and beverage director at Concord Hospitality Enterprises. The Chef’s Academy will also prepare an incredible multi-station dinner filled with their best recipes.
Tickets are on sale now for the charity event, which will take place Saturday, April 23 from 6-10 p.m. at The Chef’s Academy Campus, 2001 Carrington Mill Blvd., Morrisville, North Carolina. Currently sponsored by top supporters Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation, and Geico of Raleigh, the Bucket Bash will also include dancing, drinks and an auction.
Additionally, a bucket list tree will give guests an opportunity to sponsor part of a wish for a cancer patient in need, such as swimming with the dolphins, a special museum tour or a sunset dinner.

The Foundation supports adults fighting cancer by making a lifelong dream come true. Anyone over 18 may be nominated by doctors, nurses, caregivers, family or friends to receive a wish. Priority is given to patients residing in North Carolina whose household income falls below the national poverty line.
Since its inception in late 2014, the Foundation has granted 15 wishes. 2016 wishes granted thus far include sending a woman to a family reunion in Vermont and two young men to attend the NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four in Houston, TX. It also provided a young man in recovery from a brain tumor the opportunity to see his Carolina Panthers play on sports’ biggest stage at Super Bowl 50. Bucket Bash guests will have an opportunity to meet wish recipients and their families.
